Allison Grandits is an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) and owner of Grand Fit Educational Consulting LLC. She began her career as a Professional School Counselor at a large public high school in Metro Atlanta. While her role included personal/social counseling as well as meeting the academic needs of her students, her main interest was always college admissions. Whether through hosting Apply to College Days or as the Dual Enrollment coordinator, Allison was always thrilled to learn more about the college search and application processes. However, as the demands continued growing and took her away from her true passion for college planning, Allison decided to become an IEC.

 

College admissions have become very unpredictable, and there are thousands of colleges to filter through. Allison helps families cut through the noise and focus on the factors that matter to THEM through the GRAND Fit Method. She works with students on an individual level to empower them to take ownership of their journey to college. Allison helps families expand their horizons while staying within their budget and grows her knowledge through college visits and other professional development activities. Allison has visited over 125 colleges in 18 states.

Allison received her B.S. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Professional School Counseling from the University of Georgia, supplementing her coursework with courses in Education, Social Work, and Counseling. She also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in College Consulting from the University of California- Irvine.

 

Allison is a member of HECA (Higher Educational Consulting Association) and served as the college tours committee chair from October 2021 to June 2023, overseeing 11 counselor college tours in 8 states plus Washington, DC. She currently volunteers on the HECA Webinars committees as well as with Matchlighters and Green Halo Scholars. Allison is also a member of RMACAC (Rocky Mountain Association of College Admissions Counselors), CCC (College Consultants of Colorado), and an Associate Member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association).
